Capital Region Textile Artists (CRTA)

The Capital Region Textile Artists (CRTA), a group made up mostly of members of Q.U.I.L.T., Inc.,meets on the third Saturday of each month at the Bethlehem Public Library from 10:15 a.m. until noon. The group explores ways to use fabric, fiber, color and embellishments in unique ways.  In addition to sharing work during meetings, members provide one another with comments and suggestions for next steps on pieces they are working on.  Sometimes meetings provide time to play with  ideas using new techniques.  For more information, contact Tina Raggio, traggio@nycap.rr.com.
Capital District Modern Quilt Guild meets 2nd Monday of the month, 7 pm, Bethlehem Town Hall.  Contact Amelia's Garden for more information.

Other things to do:

Make placemats (approx. 14” x 18”) to be distributed in December to various organizations which serve the elderly and home-bound.  The placemats will be collected all year at guild meetings.  Members who wish theirs to be judged for prizes must submit them by November each year, with the member’s name taped or safety-pinned to the back.
