Jean Kallop and Fran Hahn won ribbons for quilts at the 2016 Altamont Fair.
The Pine Bush Discovery Center has announced the winners for the Q.U.I.L.T., Inc., Pine Bush Challenge Quilt show at the Center during June-July, 2016. The viewer's choices winners were 1) Pine Bush Dreamscape (Noel Payton) 2) Fire in the Pine Bush (Melody Brennan) 3) Beauty of the Pine Bush (Colleen Corbett). The staff picks were a tie for all, Fire in the Pine Bush (Melody Brennan) , Lunch Time(Sue Jordan/Karen Sengle), Pine Bush Lupines and Butterflies (Julie-Ann Fortran).
Sharon Levanway, Peg Cerruti, Ardyce Elmore, Carolyn Olsen, and Connie Danko's granddaughter were winners at the 2016 Vermont Quilt Festival. Sue Larson won their raffle quilt.
Debbie Lebrecht and Susan Cortesi were winners at the 2016 Empire QuiltFest.
Peg Cerutti, Thea Kazmer, and Noel Payton were winners at the 2015 Vermont Quilt Festival. Carol Zych, Mary Phillips, and Dawn Goodall were 2015 Row by Row store winners.

Virginia Huerfeld reports that the 2 of her mixed media art quilts have been selected by 2 jurors to appear in the official magazine of the Embroiderers Guild of America, Fiber Forum - 2015. This- honor also includes her as a member the EGA Fiber Forum until 2018. These mixed media art quilts will be on display in the “Living Room” this summer at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands N.Y. This show was juried and its theme is Illumination. Carol Olson was also selected to exhibit her art quilt in the show. The Show will be held July 6-Aug. 28, 2015

Lynn Kane has been awarded an award for the NYS EMS Educator of Excellence.
Jeanne Ayers, Thea Kazmer, and Eileen McCabe won ribbons at the Vermont Quilt Festival in June, 2013.
Marie Miller will be one of the featured artists at the Q.U.I.L.T.S. fall quilt show, Autumn Inspirations 2012, to be held at Proctors GE Theatre in Schenectady, Sept. 29-30, 2012. Congratulations to all our guild who participated in this beautiful show, particularly to the award winners, including Laurie Collins, Pat Cunningham, Kathie Greenwold, and Eileen McCabe. Nice work!
Susan Rivers and Kathy Riedel have a show, Fiber Whimsy, at the Broadway Art Center, 488 Broadway, Albany, NY in September, 2012.
Susan Rivers is co-founder of a group Art de Cure and has been written up in the Times Union, most recently on April 15, 2012 regarding a fundraiser at the Endocrine Group on behalf of the American Diabetes Association.
Susan Leath has written a book about the town of Bethlehem, NY.
Eileen McCabe won a prize for Emerging Entrants - third place for her piece "My Creme Brulee" at MQX East, April, 2012. Laurie Collins and Eileen McCabe were both finalists for the event.
Jo Wilson and Gloria Wood will be showing their 'Quilted Wall Hangings" at the East Greenbush Library on Community Way in East Greenbush during the month of February 2012. Library phone number is 477 7476.
Sue Updike-Porter is one of the Pruyn House Quilters whose work is on exhibit at the Pruyn House in October, 2011.

At the Vermont Quilt Festival, June, 2011, several guild members exhibited. Thea Kazmer and Carolyn Olsen received 2nd prize ribbons. If others received awards, let Mary know.
At the Wings Falls Quilt Show, June, 2011, Laurie Collins won Best of Show, small quilt category-Hawaiian Dawn and several more 1st and 2nd place ribbons. Eileen McCabe won 2nd prize in the "Other" category for her blue whole cloth quilt.
Susan Rivers has had two of her pieces were selected for an exhibit called "Sacred Threads" to be held in Washington DC area June 22 - July 4, 2011. "Meet Bella" was selected for the joy category and "For Joanna" was selected for the Grief category.

Congratulations to Jeanne Ayers and Carolyn Olsen from the 2010 Lowell Quilt Festival. Jeanne had two quilts on display, with one, "Lava Lamp", winning 1st Place, Bed Quilt Pieced. Carolyn won 1st place Art/Innovation for her quilt "Tropical Leaves".
Laurie Collins who won 3rd place at the MQX show in Rhode Island in April, 2010, in the category "Emerging Entrants sponsored by Aurifil Threads" See MQX for details. A photo of Laurie's winning quilt is in the Sept. 2010 issue of The Quilter, in an article entitled "What Do Judges Want?".
Linda J. Clark has a Beach Scene on an Eyeglass Case displayed in the June, 2010, issue of Miniature Collector magazine. Linda's work will also be on the Woodland Scenics Facebook page.
